I am forced to install a whole new MySQL, because the RPM of RH 7.3 didnt install all the MUCH NEEDED header/library files for all sorts of other things that can work with Mysql.
Problem is... I DO_NOT want to reinstall PHP, and risk it breaking completely.
Is the "/usr/lib/php4/mysql.so" ok to leave if I just install a new MySQL 3.23 ?
Unfortunately I cannot find MySQL 3.23.49 (the version installed with RH7.3), but am forced to install 3.23.51.
I swear ... all I wanted to do was install a piece of software that uses a mysql database... now I am forced to go reinstall everything in the damned world on my machine to do so!!! I HATE RPMS!
