PHP with mcrypt

Hello:
I am having issues getting mcrypt to configure.
(For eventual use in PHP)

First, it wasnt finding the libmcrypt i just installed, i looked and foind that if i compile libmcrypt while disabling posix threads then mcrypt found it fine.

But now.. I have another issue i cannot find the answer to:
libmhash 0.8.15 or above.
I went to the site, downloaded it, and installed it, but its still not finding it..
The system im trying to build on is RH 6.2 ( not by choice )

Can anyone offer a few nuggests of information? 🙂

Make sure you add
'/usr/local/lib'
to your '/etc/ld.so.conf' file and then run
ldconfig

This will link the libraries in so they are shared.
