# of files limitations

Is there a way to get around the 10,658 files per sub-directory limitations of DOS / Windows? I have an image cataloging program that stores all images in one sub-directory and fave reached the maximum no. of files allowed in a directory. Thanks, Jeff

Go to a different filesystem.

Or gain a few IQ points and don't store 10.000+ files in one directory. Why not devide them up alphabetically into subdirs?
