about mail function

I run PHP 4.03 on Win NT 4.0, iis 4.0.
the mail function works fine, I can send mail to any valid email address.

I have a program to maintain an email list, but I dont want the receiver to see the whole email list, I want every receiver only can see their email address. the solution I have now is send the email to each email address one by one, but seems the performance is too low. does anyone has a better solution?

The BCC field is the 'Blind Carbon Copy' field, and is used to send 'blind' copies to extra recipients.

The BCC field is removed by the sendmail program before the mail is transferred to the remote user, thus he will not be able to see the other BCC fields.

You can have any number of BCC fields in an email, in your case add a bcc field for each and every subscriber you have.
