using php4 xml functions leads to crash

I was trying the "xml how to" article but everytime I try to run the php file that would parse the xml from the slashdot.xml file I get "Apache has caused an error in PHP4TS.dll. Apache will now close." My phpinfo says "XML Support active" and php4ts.dll is in c:/windows/system/.

Does anyone know what's causing this?

Problem solved. I just installed the newest version for windows - php 4.0.4pl1 and apache no longer crashes when I run programs using xml functions.
