Install Help

Hi,
I'm having trouble getting the "mail" function to work. I've tried using a basic feedback form script and I get this error message:

Warning: Failed to obtain socket handle in C:\PROGRAM FILES\BADBLUE\PE\form_process.php on line 24

Line 24 of course points to the "mail" function. I've never installed and configured PHP before, help!

Most likely you've never installed and configured email either 😉

check your php.ini but most verions of php expect to see a local email server installed. check your php.ini to be sure email is enabled then install a email server (SMTP). Microft Exchange would work and most likely any free email servers.

Most likely the error is referring to php not able to open a socket to localhost:25 and send an email to a SMTP email server.
