the easiest thing I ever set up is xitami at http://www.xitami.com - you need php set up as normal, but if the config files for xitami the setting 'webpages' should be the full path of your root web directory, and in 'filters' you should have a line similar to
.php=c:\php4\php.exe # passes php to php.exe
not much else to it really.
