email server on WAMP platform

I was wondering, is it possible to run a email server under a WAMP setup on a developement computer with a dial up cvonnection to the internet. That is, I'd like to work a pop3 program in web site that I'm developing. And I'm developing the site on my home computer and would like to test the functionality before I put it on the actual web server.

Is it possible and what software would I need.

For sending email, look for a program called blat. It's a simple, clean, small command line program to let you send email from a windows box, and will likely be able to do just what you want in terms of email sending. The rest if all kind of stock (mysql, apache, php)

Thanx for the tip Scott. I downloaded blat but I couldn't find any tips as how to run it. Could you give me some tips or point me in the right direction? And does it work with an smtp server that requires authentification?
