Apache+PHP4+MySQL on Win32

Dear Readers of PHPBuilder,
Apache runs fine I can get localhost working, but I cannot get PHP 4 to work with Apache every is set up like the instruction say but it does not work. Does anyone have the same problems? Or that can help me?

have installed all this files about 2 weeks before !
1. is a must to httpd.conf on apache dir to include this:
LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll
2. copy php.ini in windows dir
3. check apache only (on localhost, shoot down others)
if it doesn't work set localhost to 127.0.0.1
in httpd.conf on apache
(u can use it as localhost like this too)

I've read dozens of tutorials on this subject including the official php docs and followed them faithfully to no avail.
Some of the tutorials have said to specify a "doc root" and "extension_dir" in the php ini and I've dutifully added C:\Apache\htdocs and C:\php\extensions but no joy there either.
I'm at my wits end, I did once have everything running smoothly but since re-installing Windows98 I cannot seem to do it.(apache id fine it just wont recognize php) any help would be greatly appreciated as this is now my fourth day of despair and broken crockery.

hey man
my server works
check apache first alone (shoot others down)
when it doesn't run (type http://localhost in browser)
then:
1. change server name from localhost (in httpd.conf from apache) to 127.0.0.1 or to your ip (if static)
and then first apache will run.
2. shoot down apache again and edit httpd.conf again and type in to load module as written in last message.
3. copy php.ini in windows root (nothing to change if location of php dir is c:/php)
4. start mysql
5. start apache
and you see it will work

(first i have done it like written in manuals too and it has't worked too on my server)

The Manucorp EasyPHP does not seem to start MySQL. It Says "Cannot connect to server at Loacal Host 3306. Can anyone help me?

Hello Michael,
you must start off MYSQL as a service.
In MsDos, write a command : NET START MYSQL
after that you write: MYSQL.
You can now start your queries.
