Is there anyone who knows a non-std port smtp server. my host is filtering ip packet to port 25 and i can't use the mail() function. i wan to try fopen on a mail server with a port <>25 please help me,
Have you asked if your host can get port 25 opened?
Why should i have permission to open a 25 port ? I only need to connect on a port different from 25 and the opened port on my host will be also diff from 25 !!
Because I very much doubt that you will find a mail server taht does not work on the standard mail server port (25). So your life will be much easier if you just get permission to use port 25.
I'll die and all the world will die, and i'll not get the permission !! 🙂
Try PostCast Server (http://www.postcast.com). I am currently running it on port 8026. I am currently in the process of trying to figure out how to send mail on the different port, but that's another matter...heheh.
