Access Violation Error

Hello,
I'm running V4.04 on Win98/PWS as Isapi with safe_mode set to off, per the downloaded php.ini.
Some operations that were successful using the backtick operator in php3 are now puking up the following error "PHP has encountered an Access Violation at BFF7B992".

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - Thanks

Did you try CGI and does that work?

I've now got php v4.04 installed as CGI as per the php manual. It is now semi working. I'm executing a system call. $htmlstream=system("C:\saxon\saxon.exe -a c:\inetpub\wwwroot\matchday\index.xml"); I'm then echoing $htmlstream to the browser. It works fine the first time, but PWS keeps processing indefinately after rendering the page. After I stop that and refresh the page in the browser, the page only partially renders but again, the infinate PWS processing goes on. How can I stop this post page rendering, endless processing ?

Any ideas ? Thanks
