Windows ME, Apache, PHP4

Hi there,
Does anybody know if I can install Apache web server without having a Network adapter instaled on my Windows Me!!
I did this on Windows 2000 with a Loop Back adapter and also this way works on Windows NT 4.0

Hello Sina.

Windows ME, and W98 and W95 for that matter, have a looback adapter. You do have to install TCPIP though in the Network Setup. you can access this on control panel > network. The loopback IP address is 127.0.0.1 and maps to localhost.

Dear Sudhir,
Last night I made this stuff working!
but I couldn't find loopback adapter in Windows ME at Control Panel!!!
But when I was connected to my ISP all the setup work was done properly. after that it works on my loopback adapter.

Hello Sina.

Windows 95/98/ME/2000 does not specifically install a loopback adapter. When the TCPIP apapter is installed, the loopback is installed with it.
