Apach/MySQL help

I have this small problem, i installed Apache, PHP3 and MySQL on win98 machine, php and mysql used to work when i was using Xitami web server, but when i installed Apache it gave me this message

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_connect() in c:\www\new\auction.php3 on line 80

so any one can help??

we need to see the code that is producing this error (in this case autcion.php3) before any ideas can be floated. post the code.
