Create a "download page" with header #2

Hi,
I am having some problems while coding a download page as seen on www.download.com.

I want a page where the download file will start automatically. With a kind of message like: (If your download do not start automatically,please click here...) you know...

Is the HEADER code might be used to do a suck thing?

All you have to do is the link to the file, and it will automatically download, this is standard html, and doesnt need php. You could also divirt it to a page which can be used to hold the manual link, this can all be done though html and php.

I meaned I don't want a HTML link! I want something that start the download automatically (few seconds after the page has been loaded). I know PHP has a function called HEADER that can handle. I need the CODE.

You probably just want to use the HTML code in the header of the new page (it's nothing fancy):

<META http-equiv="refresh" content="5;URL=./filename.zip">

where 5(or whatever you choose) is the time in seconds after the page loads that the file should download, and the URL is the link to the file.
