ERROR.log file

HI,
I have installed Apache version 1.2.20 for windows 2000.
after the installatiin when I run the command
http://localhost/ in the browser window, the page is not getting displayed.It says that the apache.exe has generated errors .
When I open the error.log file from the apache directory , it is blank with no errro messages.
Is it possible to see what the errors are.

But I am using tomcat and IIS now.

OMG!

I'm testing my skripts in various platforms, so i'm testing IIS5 at w2k now. I can't even find a error log file! The only thing i found, was a "access.log" in "system32/logfiles", not showing any errors...

But i'm searching anyway, maybe there is one?

Apache rules! (IMHO)
