Access Violation!!!

Hi guys,

i had been developing web apps w/ php for 2 years now under UNIX environment.
now i am trying to use php on windows NT environment using IIS 4 and SQL Server 7.0.
this is my first time to encounter this error meesage:

"PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 00050004"

i don't know why i get this error message, any solutions?

btw i am using php4.0.2 for win32.

Are you running PHP as a cgi executable or ISAPI filter? ISAPI support for IIS is dodgy at best, but it seems to work better if both php4isapi.dll and php4ts.dll live in c:\winnt\system32 (php.ini should of course still be in c:\winnt). If you're using the Zend Optimizer, try disabling it to see if that helps. If you're running as CGI, try switching over to ISAPI. My own experince has taught me that IIS is a touchy, touchy beast which sometimes works... sometimes doesn't. Another thought which might save you some of the frustration I endured is to take a look at the phpinfo() output on IIS. Server of the enviroment variables use different names than those from Apache, and IIS reports all it's path's using the Doze backslash. Logical enough I s'pose, but Win32 Apache reports them properly using the Unix forward slash making life easier due to path to URL constency. Have fun!! HTH,
