removing white space from within a strin

Does anyone now how to remove white space from within a string (not at the end)

I'm storing file names in mysql,which are then retrieved and placed in a link.

If the file names contain white space, the links to not work.

Either use str_replace() to replace/strip them or call rawurlencode() on the links so the spaces don't break them.

trim ($string); should do it!
