Whenever i enter the BIOS setup utility of my system, it is asking me to enter the password(supervisor password).but i do not know the password and therefore i cannot use or modify the BIOS setup utility.
Is there any way i can disable the password or change it to a new one?
please reply...
You usually have to move a jumper on the motherboard and reset the whole BIOS.
Or have to remove a lithium batery located on the matherboard and put it back.
or considering you already have the password. go into the bios and disable it.
or stop being a genius and try default password (thats if you or someone besides you haven't changed it) you can check this out or try to find some more: http://www.phenoelit.de/dpl/dpl.html

He doesn't have the password, that's why he's asking!
mike, now read the post one more time, especially where it says "...i do not know the password...". Last time I checked, "I don't know" doesn't mean "it is not there"
P.S. I would proably just flush the bios... cheers, AlCapone
Yes.. "I do not know the password" means he doesn't know the password, so how can he get into the BIOS to change it?
we removed the battery and moved the jumper we think however when we turned on the computer it still wanted a password
