I've lost the thumbnail view in windows explorer. This has happened before along with two other problems. It seems to be a pattern. I don't know what causes it, but until now, the only way I was able to fix it was to reformat and restore the entire hard drive. The other problems are: one-I get these empty blocks in the taskbar. I don't know how else to describe them. There just like the blocks that are there for a window, except that when you download something and a block appears in the taskbar, then when the download is done, the block goes away, only when this occurs, the blocks don't go away, they build up till you click on them, then they dissapear. Two: The other problem is in the left pane of windows explorer, when I select a folder, it becomes highlited, then instead of remaining where it's at, it repositons itself to the bottom of the pane.
I hope I've explained this well enough. These are very annoying and I'm tired of reformating each time this happens. My computer is home built, it has a Pentium II-400 on an Abit be6-2 motherboard, 256k SDram, 2 Western Digital hard drives, an NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX 256 bit graphics card, and Windows 98 SE. I don't get any illegal operations or freeze ups, everything else works fine.
Someone out there must know something about this. Please help! THANKS
