rotatelogs and Apache

Hi evereybody !
I am trying to use rotatelogs.exe utility on a Windows 2000 server running Apache 1.3.20

The little utility does not work ! No way !

I've used the basic syntax :
TransferLog "|C:/path/to/rotatelogs.exe c:/path/to/logs value"

but nothing happens ! Apache stops logging whatever I am doing.

I am using this under the <VirtualHost> directive , am I wrong ??
I've checked different tutorials,web sites and so on and it seems I'm doing the right thing , but it still doesn't do anything !!

Advices are welcome.

i don't personally use it, but just to make sure, you might wan't to try \ slashes......
