Subject: RE: [PHP-Nuke] Problems with nuke on win2000 + apache
Out of the past replies to your post, i guess im going to have to provide a
few clarifications here..
1), your problem is error_reporting is set to high. in your php.ini file,
make sure it is as
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
This reports all errors, but notices (i.e. warning such as undefined
constant/variable/etc. if you still get the errors above, you have a lot
more problems that your going to have to slap FB in the head with a bat to
fix, but i doubt he will anyways.
2). This is NOT a MySQL problem.
3). PHP Nuke runs just fine on Win32. PHP is a godsend like that, its 100%
perfectly cross platform, almost as much as java.
4) Dont change your security settings to on your path to a low IIS process,
i have no idea why anyone would dare think this would solve a problem that
has to do with a variable being used before its defined. the same person
also said that its a mysql problem, which there is NO SHAREWARE MySQL
anymore. which is even funnier because you expressed "i installed ...
apache 1.3.14, PHP 4.0.4pl1, MySQL 3.23.30-gamma " and he's saying change
IIS settings, which you dont even have installed.
As for functions that dont work on Win32, there are about 40-50 functions
that dont, the other 2050 functions in php 4.0.4pl1 work on any and all
platforms that you can compile php on.
