e-mail attachment

I received an e-mail with an attachment ending in .php. I can't open it on the web and when I saved it and tried to open it I get the "click the program you want to open the file". I don't have the file necessary to open a php file. How do I obtain it?

.php is a script file, you should be able to open it with a normal text editor such as "notepad" which comes with windows.

On Window 98 you can go into Windows Explorer not Internet Explorer

Choose from the menu

Menu => View => Folder Options => File Types

From here you can tell Windows which application it should
start when dealing with files of type .php

that makes no sense, because .php files are not opened by a special program, they must be called through the web server, ie http://localhost/file.php in order to work.
