problem with session_destroy

i have the following code that fails under windows 2000 but works fine on a unix server.
is there something special i have to do?

Your code doesn't seem right

Try this

session_start();
$name = "test";
session_register("name");
session_unregister("name");
session_destroy();

$1.50 says you didn't set up your sessions directly correctly. it defaults to /tmp which would work fine on UNIX like you said.

session_destroy would fail if the file for the session didn't exists.

i'm assuming you are using files for sessions.

Mark, my mistake.
That's actually what i wrote in the script. It is not working though.

Mickeal, I actually set up a tmp directory on my c: drive. I can see the session files.
Registering the variables is not a problem. Destroying the session is.

I also had the same problem with PHP 4.0.2 on Win2K and IIS 5.0. When I upgrade PHP to 4.0.6, session_destroy() works fine

unset($session_variable);

This should do it
