php_gd.dll on Win 2k

I know lots of people have been asking this question, but i havn't found an answer...

Why don't extensions work in win 2k (im running apache)

????

My php ini file has the extension dir being c:\php\extensions
and in that dir is the php_gd.dll file

the ini file also has
extension=php_gd.dll

it comes up with an error message when i try to load a page

something like: unable to find c:\php\extensions\php_gd.dll - when it is actually there !!!!!

Someone please help me... im going MAD

could this be due to the high usage of my memory?

Hey I got it working on XP the problem is due to permission make sure that you share all of the directory where you have your php stuff
for example if you installed php in C:\PHP make sure you share that directory
one more problem that I had but this was on XP, it might fix stuff on window 2000 too,
is that I had to move php.ini into C:\Windows\ before I had it into C:\Windows\system32\ and it didn't work so may be that can help you too

to see if the library is loaded make a test page using phpinfo();

I have got php_gd.dll working on win 2k what you have to do is ,
Firstly make sure that the semi colon has been removed from the begining of the php_gd.dll entry in the php.ini file.
Then copy this file to C:/WINNT everything should work fine now.

Just curious where you got the DLL. I have one but it says it only works for a version I don't have.
