Apache & Win98SE

Hi,

I'm using PHPdev4 (from Firepages), which loads PHP as a module in Apache. Never had any problems, not matter if 95/98/98SE, but now I had to install it on a new hardrive, with 98SE and IE6. Now, if I start the IDE, I get the following error in the DOS box of Apache:
Cannot load c:/phpdev/php/sapi/php4apache.dll into server: (1157)
The file DOES exist in that directory. I'm running out of clues as to how to solve this problem, it seems IE6 updates some Win98SE parts. Suggestions???

the bad news first: i can't help you.
but i'm using exactly the same configuration (PHPdev4 from firepages with the php4 module and win98SE and ie6.0) and i've never had any trouble like that (though i did have enough trouble with the SQL in the PHPdev4 package...). therefore i suggest, it is no problem with the ie6.

I'm getting closer... but not there yet.
I reconfigured Apache to load PHP as CGI, and now it's missing ODBC32.DLL. That might be the problem, since the PHP module seems to be missing some or the other, too. Can you pls. check if you have the dll somewhere on your PC?

Yes, I do have it. It's in the "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM" directory (212KBytes). Do you want my to send it to you?

Yup, that'd be great!
Up farther you wrote you had some problems with MySQL. I might have the same problem, cause when I started the IDE with the batch file, mysql-opt crashed. I hoped it'd be related to the other problem, but since you got that one fixed, I'm not so sure anymore...

No need, thanx. I got REALLY anxious to try it, and simply installed the Office package, because I haven't come around to do so before. It WAS the missing odbc32.dll! Now I have Apache & PHP4 up and running, but mysql-opt still refuses to work. So that only leaves the question how you managed that one...

wow that is really strange (that it was office... )
but this sql prob i had:
mysql-opt crashed when i ran special commands (like INSERT. there was no prob with SELECT as far as i can remember).
i didn't get if fixed, i just installed a new mysql (from www.mysql.com) and than put in in the PHPdev directory (and replaced the PHPdev mySQL). now it works perfectly.
i know that this is not a very nice way but since then i did't have any more probs with PHP, apache or mySQL.
