First time user of PHP

I am a web programmer and devlope the web pages with ASP i have well conversant with ASP. I want to develope the skill in PHP but i do not know how to start with it.

I have my windows2000 machine with IIS configured for ASP.

Please let me know to start php pages for IIS

There are lots of resources avilable such as http://www.php.net (official), http://www.zend.com (lots of tutorials, columns and more), http://www.devshed.com (tutorials & MySQL, and more), and here (http://www.phpbuilder.com).

If you would like to study PHP on Windows O/S, please install Apache 1.3.22 & PHP 4.1.1 & MySQL 4.01 as a module (new versions). It's much faster than CGI install. Both installations are explained in PHP official manual.

Although I don't recommend it, you can install PHP ISAPI version under IIS 4 and above.
Download PHP 4.1.1 (the 5 Mb version) and follow install.txt instructions to install PHP support under IIS.
