DOES ANYONE KNOW???

Hello, I am new to all this setting up server stuff. I am looking at getting this server I am attempting to set up working. I have Apache, PHP, and MySQL working. However when I am trying to get PHP to go to MySQL and work it just isnt happening. It says this error...

I am running NT 4 Service pack 6. Can anyone help me? All I need this for is a school project. Thanks!

I have installed mysql a lot of times and have been locked out like you.

I have written a step-by-step tutorial that works everytime if followed.

Go to http://www.geocities.com/akindele/

Click on Install Apache/PHP/MySQL on Win32.

I have a hunch you might want to try.
Find the line where you connect to the database, and change it to
mysql_connect();
(you might want to comment out the previous mysql_connect and write it ot a fresh line so not to lose the original in case this doesn't work).
Works on my XP / Apache / PHP / MySQL -system.
I got the same headers when I installed the software and copied a site to the server. After a considerable amount of hairloss I finally tried to call the function sans parameters.
