Windows/Apache/PHP/PDF

I've been trying for some time now to add PDF creation functionality to PHP on my Windows 2000 server.
Unfortunately I can't figure out why I can't get it to work.

I downloaded and installed the ActiveX PDFlib. I added the php_pdf.dll (also downloaded from PDFlib.com) to php.ini.

The server keeps giving the error that it can't find the php_pdf.dll in the extensions folder, while it CAN find php_mssql.dll in that same folder...

Any suggestions? Thanx!

First of all: you don't need any additional libraries (especially no ActiveX components) to make the php_gd.dll work.

The only thing that comes to my mind that you might have forgotten is that you need to copy the pdflib.dll (in the DLLS subdirectory) to a path that is included in your system (like c:\winnt\system32).

The binary php_pdf.dll included in the binary php distribution works alone (u don't need to download the ActiveX from pdflib). However, it is a demo version. If u want a full version, u need to download the source distribution and compile it (Project Files are well done for Visual C++). U will need additonal libraries too that u can find on the Net.

Since when is the included binary a demo ? When I was using it last time (PHP4.0.4pl1) it was fully operational.

I don't know since when it is a demo, but for me it included a "Demo stamp" in the background of all pages.
