Php Editor in Win

I used PHPEd as my Php editor in Win. However the preview in this software don't work perfect. It displays incorrectly sometime. I heard Homesite is very good for this. But The preview in Homesite can't parse php in. I already did con config for server map and choose IE for preview but still can't work. Anyone made this work before. Please help. Thanks.

Of course Homesite's prewiew can parse PHP.
You need have instaled Apache or IIS and PHP.
Then go to menu Options, Settings. In settings window select Browse.

Select Eable Mappings an set the directories where are the php scripts with the add button. The mapping must be like this

Map From: c:\wwwdirectory\directory\

Map to: http://127.0.0.1/directory/

The next time you preview the script Homesite will map the page and parse from the HTTP Server, not from disk. Is the only software with this function.

Very nice to have Homesite work w/ php. Thanks. I made mistake though. I put file://c:/ instead of c:\ only.

If you need basic syntax highlighting and auto completion features, Edit Plus is a good choice. You can add more functionality to this for example your documentationa and coding style etc. In other words lot of functionality.

If you need to see how your code works, and preview it on a browser, you already have the answers I guess. But I'll add one more bit to it.

There is a total radical new IDE for PHP made by a co. called Maguma. It's called PHP4EE Studio. Of course, the thing costs. But their light version is free for download. Although it's much error prone on W2K, I am using it quite successfully. Here's the Link www.maguma.com. And hey where did you get PHPEd from? Can you mail me a link or something.

I already tried PHP4EE. It's full of bugs. Hey Miguel Angel Da Vila, by the way, there is something I don't like in Homesite. I can run php only if I save it. If it's a new document, unsave, there is no way to run because the file is in temporary dir:
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Local%20Settings/Temp/hs~new.htm
And there is no way to make "file:///C:/" becomes "http://localhost/". Did you try it?
