combining php4 with mysql

Hi,

I have just installed apache + php4 and mysql onto my win95 machine.

Apache and php4 works fine together.

Mysql works fine by it self.

But I don't know how to combine php4 to work with mysql on my machine.

What do I need to configure in order to make my php program to talk to the database.

with php4 it is already configured....just do a simple info script <?php phpinfo() ?> and you should see it listed at the top of the page.....if it's their then it's working.

If it isn't tryy uncommenting the mysql.dll in the php.ini file and restarting your computer.

Using phpinfo() it displayed something like this for mysql part. Is it correct?

what about the socket values and port numbers?

That looks to be working ok.....now you can start scripting to create a database or you can download something like phpmyadmin from www.phpwizard.net (I think there is a php4 one out now).
