php4_module memory leak

I got the php4_module library to work with apache 1.3 but it has a memory leak, every request, memory goes up and never comes down. and cgi is fine, resources are free. Is their a certain setup i have to make in the conf file?

post ur puter specs, and the code for the script (or is it with every single script?)

is this during a MySQL call? I found that I should not use pconnect vs. connect as it left open persistent connections (doy.. p for persistent.../smack head) and was chewing up some memory space...

all i have to do is just call http://localhost without a default index page, and just F5 the page, memory goes up and never comes down. So yes it happens without running a script, im running this on win2k. Do you use the module? Is their any settings im missing?

yes, I use the module, but see if the php_module is active when you see your above scenario.

run apache.
open locahost (no script)
hit f5

then open Start|Programs|Accessories|SystemTools| System Information.

in the left pane open the key for Software Environment>Drivers

look for php_module in that list and see if its "active"

I have hunch that it is not at that moment.

Sounds more like either an IE problem, or httpd commit charge gone whack-o

forgot to add, can you copy paste your httpd.conf and php.ini in here, and that will help immensely
