Mail in PHP

I don't have a mail server that i can run throught smtp on my php server in windows. Does anyone have any suggestions as of to what i can do to allow my mail function to work in php under windows without a specific server. I haven't heard of any sendmail subs for windows, has anyone? Appreciate any suggestions!

Well... we Have Windows 2000 Server with IIS running. I have just install'ed 4.12 version of PHP and pointed other SMTP server in Our domain and defined FROM: address... It works fine. Just, I'm curious, how to define differnet FROM addreses for separate acounts.
We did not install sendmail or other mail server at all (or any utility to send mail).
I think, If You have any other SMTP server running, which You use for your mail to send in same domain (or other - but there may be rely problems), then the change of few lines in php.ini and server restart shoud work.

hello !
one way is to openen a socket.
$socket = fsockopen("mail.foo.com",25);
end den write the mail like in telnet
you must know the smtp ( rfc 821)

$response = fgets($socket);
fputs($socket , "HELO ...");
.....
fclose($socket);
and so on

but i think there are also apis for this available.
