PHP 4.2 and IIS5 email script

New to PHP. Not having very much fun. Installed isapi dll for filter and app mapping (was teh same with php.exe) PHP 4.2.0 on 2kserver with IIS5 and this sample email script does not work. Most scripts do not work. Got a whois.php3, etc.. The info script DOES work. Got any idea whats wrong?
Undefine Variable in line bla bla bla is what I get. Need to get PHP to work on IIS5. Have register globles off, Doc_root points to web root, got sessionsavepath, etc. Used UNC forward slashes, backslashes for drive relevance, etc. Do not have any extensions loaded. Does the php install folder need to be part of the web site? The data entered in the page is not being passed to the scrips. Help!

As of PHP 4.2.0, register global defaults to off, which means that get, post and cookie variables will not appear as global variables in your scripts per default. Change the register_globals setting as a transition, use properly coded scripts in the future ;-) [that´s the intention of it, they want to prevent us from writing insecure scripts]
