php4-gd under Debian Linux & MSSQL under Debia

My images worked fine under php3. When I upgrade to php4 the images crashed, under Debian when I upgraded from php3 to php4 I also upgraded php4-gd, how can I configure the package to make it work, i can not get source code when install a new package under Debian using apt-get. I tried changed creating from "gif" to "png" but still not working.

And how to configure php4 to connect to MSSQL7.0 under DEbian, I have the same problem of getting source to reconfigure under Debian Linux.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Please don't interpet this as a flame, since it's not meant to be, but you're not going to get too many solutions to this problem by posting in this fourm. This is the Windows Help section, and I don't know how many of the people reading this are familar with Debian. Perhaps posting in the General or Coding sections might yield more suggestions. However, regarding the M$SQL problem, you might try setting you scripts up to reverse any slashes from the Unix forward slashes to the WinDoze back slashes. I found that may of the scripts I wrote under Win98 weren't too happy when I transfered them to Debian and changing the slashes around solved the problem. That being said, I've never used the MSSQL or gd modules on any system. Hope this helps!!
