Session Error On Windows

Windows NT Server/ IIS 5.0/ PHP 4.0.5

I am starting a Session on IIS 5.0 with the following command.

<?
session_start();

?>

However, it returns this error.

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_cde91bf05d050cebafee0e1b9a7453e5, O_RDWR) failed: m (2) in C:\apache\htdocs\hd\loginc.php on line 2

I have not had a problem with starting a Session on my Linux/Apache box. What is the error telling me besides the obvious? I just cant get Sessions to work.

check your php.ini file for the path to save session info.

I was mistaken earlier, this NT server is running Apache 1.3.14 instead of IIS. The save file for sessions is /tmp

The error reports....

I have tried closing and reopening the browser (New session) but to no avail.

I was having this problem, until I realised I didnt have a c:\tmp file, in which to save the sessions.

Try creating it.
