PHP 4.2.1 and Apache 1.3.24 on Win32

I'm not sure if whether this should go to the installation forum or here, but anways... I am using the SAPI module of PHP 4 and PHP files do run correctly, but do not accept variables supplied via URL (eg. http://localhost/test.php?var=foo). Otherwise it's working fine, though.

if (isset($_POST["variablename1"])) {
//this is a posted variable

echo($_GET["variablename2"]);
//this is sent via the get method.

Note no $ in above variablenames.

you must enable "global" variables in the php.ini or refer to the variables by
$var = $HTTP_GET_VARS['var'];
