Apache and PHP

I have Apache 2 running on XP, and after playing with the settings have PHP installed as a CGI script, haven't figured out where the mod_apache.so file is. Anyway, I have it working and all I get is the directory of files in my directory instead of displaying the php output.

Any ideas as to how to get it to display index.php instead of just the directory of all the files I have there?

Please help, I'm trying to setup my home computer to host my websites and need php to work.

Hi,

there's a "DirectoryIndex" entry in the httpd.conf. Look if index.php is added, if not, add it to the list.

Did you want to install it as a module? I have it running as a module. Though I took a different step than what those other tutorials out there did. It's slightly different.
