Need help..

I'm new to PHP and am having trouble getting PHP to work. I get this error:

Warning: Failed opening '.txt' for inclusion (include_path='c:\php4') in D:\shttps\www\index.PHP on line 56

How can I fix this? I am running Win2k and using some strange program that allows me to host webpages, but I think this is a problem with the settings in php.ini.

Refer to what the error states,

D:\shttps\www\index.PHP on line 56

Check whatever index.PHP is and go to line 56, that area is most likely causing the error.

I think your index.PHP file is trying to open a file that does not exist. Note it says it's trying to open ".txt" There is no filename in front of .txt. That's a no no.

The line is:
<? php include ("$view.txt"); ?>

I told it to open main.txt by making the URL

index.php?view=main

But it still gave me that error.

Nevermind, fixed the new one, but the old one

try replacing '$view' with '$HTTP_GET_VARS["view"]

If this is you Line 56:
<? php include ("$view.txt"); ?>

then make it look like
<?php include ($HTTP_POST_VARS["view"].".txt"); ?>
