Problem with cmd

Hi,

i'm trying to create thumbnails with ImageMagick. When i try to create many thumbs at once and the cancels the action. all the time my cmd.exe hangs up. How can i avoid this.

win2k, apache 2.0.36, php 4.2.1

I had a problem with exec on Win32. I read and found out that PHP is not able to put itself in the background and let other apps be called from it.

The error message i got was an "unable to fork".

Still i don't know how to solve it. If you are using linux, then maybe the error is something different.
