EasyWindows Installer discontinued :(

Hallo,

To my disappointment I discovered that EasyWindows Installer (http://php.weblogs.com/easywindows) is no longer updated.
The latest available version is with 4.0.4 and that's it.

Please, could some1 tell how to upgrade to the current version of PHP without loosing all the support for all those nice libs, including GD with GIF, etc. Can I just overwrite some files in PHP directory, or there is some more advanced math involved?

I think you should download the new version of PHP you want to install, save you actual php.ini in a safe place and reinstall PHP. That's quite an easy thing to do on Win32. Only change (on httpd.conf), the lines refering to php, and in the new php.ini, load the modules you used to do.

Oh! And, if you aren't used to $GET, $POST, and such, put register_globals to on.
