undefined variable

PHP4
win XP pro
IIS 5

Problem:
Errors printed to page.
Notice: Undefined variable: Step in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\District\SCheck.php on line 36

Notice: Undefined variable: Step in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\District\SCheck.php on line 49

I can not locate what the problem might be. The page I have works on a win 2000 and Apache. confused what the problem might be.

Variables have to have a value.
else you recieve an undefined varable error.

If you'd rather not go back through your scripts fixing these errors, you can just turn down the error level in php.ini.

Open up C:\Windows\php.ini then scroll down to the error section and you'll find details on how to stop it displaying notices and only displaying warnings and fatal errors or whatever.
