mysql and php on apache problems

well.
i install apache window version.
then, i tried to install mysql, however,
i cant test it using mysqlshow (i am a newbie, thus dont teach me using manual way),
and when i tried to install php-4.2.1-Win32,
i couldnt install it by double clicked the php.exe. help! thanx
