Hi!
I recently downloaded some freeware unto a mac computer and then transferred them to a pc
running win 2000.
However, I couldn't open them.
Have you suggestions as to how I could open and use
them on the said pc?
I can't remember exactly which files I downloaded - in
terms of topic, I remember downoading CAD-applets for
creating windows, doors, ect. There were 2- & 3-D
Images as well.
Alas, I cannot tell the formating mode of the hard
disk in the Mac computer either. It was part of the university network and
being a pc user, I didn't think of the need for
precautionary measures at the time.
I saved the files by transfering them via the network
to a WinXP-PC, from which I burned them on CD. The file name endings were not visibla then so I couldn't take any measures to save them in another format.
Back on my PC, I could see the files, copy them ect.,
but couldn't open or view them.
They are apparently still intact, but - at the moment
- useless.
I'm sorry to be unable to be more informative but I
first encountered the problem upon attempting to open
the files, as the file endings were suppressed in the
universities computers.
I shall, nevertherless, be grateful for any help you
can offer since going through the downloading process
once again may prove time consuming.
PS: I do not have php4.0 or any other similar programs, nor do I have immediate access to them. In addition, my programming skills a marginal - but the spirit is willing...
