PHP4+MySQL+Apache+Win98

Hi, i used PHP Triad to install PHP, Apache and MySQL.. and i checked the server configuration file.. everything seems to be ok.. but the problem is that when i try to access any file in my root directory.. it says that access to the directory is forbidden..

I need help solving the Issua of this "Forbidden Access" message.. and i will be thankful.

Try placing- ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache" -in the httpd.conf file and make sure all your scripts are placed in directories below the root, eg, htdocs

The root directory by default is the x:/my_path_to_apache/htdocs/, perhaps you had it above this level?

Thanks for your help, but still its not working..

whenever i try to view anything on my root directory it gives me this error message, HTML Pages are working probebly, I think i will re-install it again.. thanks all for your support 🙂)

I just read this thread, and the thread starter, Hamed, mentioned that he used PHP Triad to install Apache, PHP and MySQL.

What is this program? I am running 98 and would like to install all of these.

Where can I get this program?

Any help is appreciated.

You can fine PHPTriad at:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad

It should be noted that it installs PHP4.0.1b?, and 3.23.22 mySQL. It is very easy to update them if you have the need/desire to do so.

Does PhpTriad run on anything other than 98, like NT4??

Actually, as of Oct 6, it installs PHP 4.0.2 and MySQL 3.23.25. Just get version 1.2.

Yes it works on NT4. Though I can't guarantee it, I've had reports of it working on most of the 32 bit MS OS's.
