xitami + php + mysql +winxp !WTF!

Hey

I have the above configuration, the xitami server is working fine, i can view my index.html and all. Here's a list of my problems.

Cannot broswe new directories made in the webpages dir.
Revieve the following errors-

Warning: Access denied for user: 'mpa4712@24.93.222.149' (Using password: YES) in C:\Xitami\webpages\bb_news.php3 on line 36

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for user: 'mpa4712@24.93.222.149' (Using password: YES) in C:\Xitami\webpages\bb_news.php3 on line 36
Unable to connect to SQL server

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in C:\Xitami\webpages\installer.php on line 169

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in C:\Xitami\webpages\installer.php on line 216

I have no idea why im getting those errors. I have everything configured the right way, but i just dont get why php is not working at all. Can anyone help?

ps. I also tried apache, had more problems than with xitami...

The first thing you need to do is open My Computer then go to Tools, Folder Options, Click the View Tab, Make sure that use Simple File Shareing is unchecked its at the very bottom of the list. Then go to your webpages folder and right click it go to properties then the Sharing tab. Click share as and leave the name like it is and hit apply. This should fix your problem. Take care.

THis didn't fix anything. Im still getting the same errors 🙁 any more ideas?

I can't help you with this, but if you're after a good setup, go to:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad/

and download phpTriad. It's a brilliant little program that will install and set up Apache, PHP and MySQL on your windows system. All you have to fo then is go into php.ini and choose your MySQL username and password. Lovely. 🙂 Hope this helps.

You can use phpTriad as suggested. But if you want full control on directory structure for your servers, then go to: www.geocities.com/akindele/ and read: Install Apache/PHP/MySQL on Win32.
