Access Violations

I am running Php4 on windows NT spk 6 and recently I have installed mysql for windows.
I have enabled log-bin in my.cnf

I am ecountering access violation errors shown below.

PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 01A77EBD

This usually occurs when I am trying to access the mysql database.

to start trying to run a replicated server but has yet have no slave.

It also only seems to happen randomly although I know this isn't the case something must be causing it?

Does anybody have any idea as to what is causing this.

Hey, welcome to the club (sadly). I have just the same problem when running with MSSQL 7 on IIS4. I really want to know if this has ever happened on non-NT platforms.

I used to see the same thing on Win98/PWS/MSAccess, but it got better and finally went away throughout the migration from PHP4beta to release to 4.0.1 to 4.0.2.

Well, unfortunately, it still happens. It seems that PHP is trying to crash into a memory location that has already been occupied. Do you think that it has something to do with session? or perhaps associative array? I have experienced problem this problem consistently when using associative array and index array at the same time within loops.

Hy Guys ...

I had the the same Problem some days ago, with an ODBC PHP Connection. The way i solve the Problem is : Take new newest Binery Build from http://php4win.de ( it's in english ) download both, the Binary's and the Fix, move out some extentions and it works fine. 😉

It seem's to be that the PHP extention's for DB's use the same Mem Adresses as the DB's.

IT's an quick and dirty Fix but it works.

I just installed Appache on Windows NT WS and also installed PHP3. Appache works fine but when I try to run simple php script, I am getting Access violation on php.exe.

Hi,

It's basically because PHP is accessing the memory location when it is being used by something else. The only solution I can think of is... accessing the pages after let's say half an hour or something like that....

Thanks for all you help. I only use it for dev perposses before I put it on a linux/apache box. So I'll just perserve.

I am sure I can blame B G for this.
