Hello! I have Win98SE, Apache and PHP 4.0.2 working as CGI module. I tried to install php_mcrypt.dll found at:

http://download.swwwing.com/php4/modules/php_mcrypt.dll

When I enable this module in php.ini, PHP engine starts hanging on every attempt to parse PHP file, and disabling it makes everything work OK. I need this badly - can anybody help with this? Thank you very much for your help.

eh... when I tryed to use it, it said

Invalid library (maybe not a PHP library) 'php_crypt.dll'

I think I remember hearing PHP Version 4.0.3 fixed this problem. You don't need the swwwing.com dll.

This would be nice, but now I have PHP 4.0.3pl1 and here is what it says in answer to attempt to use mcrypt_cbc(), for example:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mcrypt_cbc() in c:\wwwroot\vhosts\test\index.php on line 2

And if I try to link the DLL, PHP engine hangs. Why - I don't know. And PHP 4.0.2 I had before was behaving the very same way. Any help would be much appreciated...

I am also in need oa a properly working mcrypt dll for php 4. Sofar not ableto find it. Can someone help & point me to the source?
