  • Your favorite PHP IDE that you have been using consistently over the years?

Hi Folks,

I used to be an avid PHP developer a decade ago. I am looking to get back into it to build some new websites and hack Wordpress for my needs. What's your favorite PHP IDE or development editor that you use, and have been using consistently?

Btw, I realize this question may come up often (based on my search here). I am not looking for top 10 recommendation based on blog posts. I am looking for a specific recommendation based on what you have been using for years now.

I've been using VS Code for maybe 2 years or so now, in an environment where I'm jumping between PHP and Ruby development (and occasional forays into JavaScript when it can't be avoided 😉 ).

Did your search here also turn up the identically worded post (including the phrase "based on my search here") on Reddit from three days ago?
